The classical tour in Cremona offers the view of all the monuments of Piazza del Comune – Cathedral, Baptistery, Torrazzo, Palazzo del Comune and Loggia dei Militi. It’s possible to visit the inside of the Cathedral and Palazzo del Comune (both of them with free admission). In addition, we suggest you:

  • a visit to the new Museum of the Violin (admission with fee).
    On weekdays there is the opportunity to get a short concert played with a Stradivari. (admission with fee)
  • a visit to a violinmaker’s workshop with the explanation of the different stages in making a violin according to the classical cremonese method.
  • a visit into the inside of the Baptistery built in 1167 in Romanesque style (admission with fee).
  • a visit to the beautiful Renaissance church of San Sigismondo
  • a visit to the elegant Ponchielli Theatre, the third modern theatre built in Italy in the XVIII century (admission with fee, dependent on the theatre consent).

    • We suggest as a meeting point the parking space for tourist coaches in Piazza Libertà, easy to reach coming from the motorway A21. For groups who want to reach Cremona by train, the meeting point is the square in front of the railway station.
